The City of Charleston will host the 2022 Charleston Christmas Parade Thursday, December 15 at 7 p.m. The following street closures and detours will be in place.
Lieutenant Seth Petersen, a 13-year member of the Charleston Fire Department, passed away this evening while at home. Lieutenant Petersen had most recently worked out of Station 1. Lieutenant Petersen was also a Captain and Paramedic with the Teays Valley Fire Department.
The City of Charleston Christmas Parade, scheduled for Thursday, December 8, will be rescheduled to Thursday, December 15 at 7 p.m.
The Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development (MOECD) encourages non-profit agencies, community organizations, educational institutions and civic groups that serve low- to moderate-income individuals to apply for Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for 2023 – 2024.
The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department will host holiday themed events at the four community centers during the month of December.
