CHARLESTON PARKS AND RECREATION TO HOST BLACK HISTORY MONTH COMMUNITY CELEBRATION
(Charleston, W.Va.) – The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department will host a Black History Month Community Celebration on Saturday, February 21, from noon to 4 p.m. at the North Charleston Community Center (2009 7th Avenue).
The event is open to the public and will feature activities and programming designed to celebrate culture, creativity, and community. Planned activities include Family Feud-style games, spoken word performances, line dancing, a kids’ play zone, and food throughout the afternoon.
The celebration is free to attend and open to all ages. Residents are encouraged to stop by, participate in activities, and join neighbors and community members in recognizing Black History Month.
