Mayor Goodwin Encourages Citizens to Participate in Four-Stop Here to Serve Tour

Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin announced today that city representatives, members of City Council and representatives from city departments will host a four-stop Here to Serve tour that begins January 29, 2020. The tour will provide an opportunity for citizens to meet city representatives, ask questions about city services and troubleshoot challenges face-to-face.

“Accessible government is essential to providing transparency and accountability,” said Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin. “This winter’s Here to Serve tour provides four new opportunities for folks to connect one-on-one with our City team. For us, it’s about listening and understanding the challenges of our communities so that we can work towards proactive solutions together.”

The tour will be scheduled as follows:

  • Ball Toyota of Charleston Meeting Room – 1905 Patrick Street Plaza
    • January 29, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • First Presbyterian Church – 16 Leon Sullivan Way
    • February 10, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • George Washington High School QSA Room– 1522 Tennis Club Road
    • February 20, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Kanawha City Community Center – 3511 Venable Avenue
    • February 25, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Here to Serve events are open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
