The City of Charleston today announced that 2025 Charleston Christmas Parade applications are available online at charlestonwv.gov/christmasparade through November 25, 2025.
Roundtable to feature an informational session on the BUILD WV tax incentive program
Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin issued the following statement on the passing of Katherine “Kitty” Dooley.
The Charleston Land Reuse Agency (CLRA) will host a public meeting on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Element Edge (1611 4th Avenue) to update residents on its work to return vacant, abandoned, and dilapidated properties to productive use. The meeting will include a brief presentation on current projects and programs, followed by an opportunity for residents to speak directly with CLRA board members and staff.
Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin, together with the Sternwheel Regatta Commission and the Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), announced that the 2025 Charleston Sternwheel Regatta generated $40.1M in total economic impact, welcomed an estimated 225,000 attendees [with 26% traveling from more than 50 miles and 78% of these visitors coming from out of state], and that the event will return July 2-5, 2026, coinciding with America’s 250th birthday.
