REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR 18th ANNUAL CHARLESTON WINTER SERIES
(Charleston, W. Va.) – The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department announces registration is open for the 18th Annual Charleson Winter Series. The three-race series includes a 5K run/3k walk on December 13, 2026, an 8K run/4k walk on January 17, 2027, and a 10K run/5k walk on February 21, 2027. All races take place at 2 p.m., starting at the University of Charleston Pharmacy School Parking lot. Participants who register for the full series, before the day of the first race, will receive a commemorative hoodie.
REGISTRATION
Registration is available online at charlestonwinterseries.com.
Registration fees are as follows:
- Full series: $90 (To receive a hoodie, participants must register for the series before the December 13 race.)
- Full series student registration: $30
- Individual race: $40
Online registration closes at midnight the night before each race.
Participants may also register in person on the day of any race from noon – 1:59 p.m.
Participants must register for the full series upfront to receive a commemorative hoodie. Both regular and student full-series registrations qualify for a hoodie; individual race registrations do not qualify.

AWARDS
Awards will be presented for each age group: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
