PROGRAM EMPLOYMENT DATES: 

June 8 - July 31, 2026

*may be extended based on availability and departmental needs

PROGRAM WORK HOURS:

Participants may work up to 35 hours per week; however, some positions may require varying shift hours based on the specific needs of the role. Review job descriptions carefully

PROGRAM AGE REQUIREMENTS: 

Participants must be youth ages 16-20.

Applications available: April 6-21, 2026 

The program includes opportunities across several City Departments including: Development Services, Charleston Fire Department, City Collector’s Office, Communications, Events, HR, Mayor’s Office, MOECD, Parks and Recreation, Public Art, Public Grounds, and Spring Hill Cemetery.

Youth interested in multiple positions must apply for all positions individually.

Applicants who need access to a computer may visit one of the City’s community centers during regular operating hours to complete an online application.
